IT Support Coordinator

The IT Support Coordinator is a full-time non-exempt position that reports to the IT Network Manager. This position is devoted to supporting all aspects of computer set-up, installation, networking; and printing both locally and on the network. Additional support for auxiliary devices such as tablets, PDAs, and smartphones as needed. This person will also maintain protocols to ensure systems and user security.

75% IT Support Functions

  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, phones and wireless access points
  • Maintain and troubleshoot devices and systems, hardware, and software
  • Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance upgrades
  • Receive, prioritize, document and actively resolve end-user help requests
  • Provide hands-on help at the desktop level
  • Respond to system failures
  • Repair equipment and replace parts
  • Travel to multiple office locations to support users

10% Record/Equipment Management

  • Maintain record of equipment, software licenses and renewals
  • Manage stock of equipment, consumables and other supplies
  • Procure replacement or specialty components, fixtures or fittings

10% Mt. Wilson Site Support

  • Travel to support IT related issues on Mt. Wilson

5% General Support

  • Respond to inquiries, conduct daily business and represent the station with a highly professional and personal demeanor at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Windows 7/10/2008R2/2012R2 installation and configuration
  • 2+ years of experience with multiple VLAN routing
  • 2+ years of experience using and administering Microsoft Exchange 2010.
  • MAC Experience including configuring and solving network issues
  • Knowledge of cisco hardware switches and routers
  • Ability and experience making CAT5/6 cables
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and willing to learn
  • Must be able to work an occasional night or weekend
  • Requires some physical activity such as lifting and moving computer equipment into place or crawling in tight spaces
