Elizabeth Kurila

Vice President, Development

Kurila brings a strong and diverse background in development, management and marketing to PBS SoCal. Over the last eight years, she has been focused on fund development, including annual fund, major gifts, institutional support, planned giving, special events, capital campaigns, endowment building, grant writing and board relations. Most recently, she served as director of development for the Long Beach Opera, Nine Network of Public Media (KETC), and the University of Missouri St. Louis’ (UMSL) College of Fine Arts and Communications. Kurila previously served as COO of an international architectural design studio, and held sales and marketing positions with Herman Miller, Kimball International and Xerox Corporation.

Kurila holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Miami University in Ohio. She is the past President of UMSL’s Nonprofit Management and Leadership Alumni Chapter and an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
