Take me out to the Ballgame!

PBS SoCaL hit a homerun last week on September 12, 2012 at Angel's Stadium. Right before the game, PBS SoCaL President & CEO, Mel Rogers and Director of Education, Jamie Myers stepped on the field to accept $10,000 from the Angel's Baseball Foundation as PBS KIDS favorite Curious George played on the Jumbotron.

The crowd's excitement was contagious when the announcer shared that this generous funding will go to purchase thousands of copies of the bilingual book Curious George Goes to the Baseball Game. Books will be distributed in upcoming months to young children at local Boys and Girls Clubs all over Southern California in some of the most disadvantaged neighborhoods.
