What do I do if I’m outside when an earthquake hits? How exactly do I use museum putty? Does my insurance cover earthquake damage? How do I protect my kids? My dog? My wine rack?
PBS SoCaL participated in an Earthquake Preparedness event at the Discovery Science Center September 21, 2011 as part of the Educators’ Evening of Science. PBS SoCaL Education handed out free information and resources to local teachers including personal and pet preparedness kits. The kits were so popular we ran out before the night was over. “It was a wonderful experience,” Irma Barragan of Torrance, CA remarked, “thank you for being an active partner in the education of all our children.”
