Video Blog: Cat in the Hat Wrapping Paper

It’s that time of the year! Time for holiday treats, trees, trimmings and everyone’s favorite rhyming feline, the Cat in the Hat. We all know that the Cat in the Hat knows a lot about THAT but did you know that he knows a lot about Christmas, too?

The Cat is back with his holiday special The Cat in the Hat Knows a lot About Christmas! The holiday special follows the Cat, Nick and Sally on a journey around the world to help a lost reindeer find his way home to Freezeyourknees Snowland in time for Christmas.

On the way, the Thinga-ma-jigger breaks down, and they depend on a variety of animals – from African bush elephants to bottlenose dolphins to red crabs – and their remarkable abilities to help them make an amazing journey home. Learn about animals and holiday traditions in the special on PBS SoCaL on Christmas Eve, December 24th at 8:30am and 2:00pm.

Then you can learn about patterns when you make your very own wrapping paper with the Cat in the Hat. This episode of Learning Time with PBS SoCaL Education helps little ones learn basic patterning skills to create handmade wrapping paper for all of your holiday gifts.
