DIY Costumes from PBS KIDS

It’s Halloween time!  Young or old, this is the time when you can dress up and enjoy some spooky fun. Here at PBS SoCaL, Halloween gives us the chance to become some of our favorite PBS characters. From scientists to superheroes, there are plenty of opportunities to turn your favorite PBS SoCaL characters and personalities into fun and original costumes.

Sometimes this requires a lot of creativity and a little bit of DIY know how. As a frequent Halloween costume DIY-er, I’m always looking for fun, simple and relatively inexpensive costume ideas. And I didn’t have to look very far for inspiration; the PBS SoCaL kids line up provides plenty of charismatic characters for toddlers to teens and beyond. We’ve compiled some resources and inspiration to help you make your very own PBS inspired costumes including free printable masks.
