Kicking Off the 2014 California Student Media Festival!

Posted by Keena Levert on

Attention all teachers: It’s that time again!  The 2014 California Student Media Festival begins Monday, January 20th, presented in partnership by PBS SoCaL and CUE – Computer Using Educators.  Each year, we look forward to the amazing student media projects submitted by teachers from the entire state of California.  Now it’s YOUR turn!

Whether your students create a PSA about an important local issue, an animated piece featuring original student artwork, or a live action film that integrates concepts from subjects like math or science – we want to see what you’ve got.

Sponsored by Wells Fargo, the California Student Media Festival is our nation’s oldest student media festival and exists to celebrate the remarkable media and multimedia projects produced by California’s best and brightest students and teachers.  Successful classroom work will be rewarded and acknowledged at an exciting awards event this summer.

Teachers can submit qualified student media beginning today, January 20th through Monday April 7th, 2014. For information on how to enter, submission guidelines, prizes for winners and more, go to
