Learning Time: Wild Kratts Nature Journal

Posted by Alyssa Torrez

It's Earth Day! We are celebrating the great outdoors with fun activities and new apps. This month, we took a note from our friends the Wild Kratts and made a nature journal to observe the world around us. For our outdoor adventure, we visited the Spring Street Farm at the Long Beach Community Action Partnership to take a look at what nature has to offer. We took our journals along and recorded all of the things in nature that we saw, smelled, and heard.

You can make your own nature journal then get outside and explore. Visit your local zoo, spend the day at the beach, or have a picnic in your backyard and take your journal along and learn about nature around you.

There are lots of ways to encourage your kids to be a part of supporting your local environment. Continue your explorations with the ultimate adventure app, the Wild Kratts Worls Adventure AppSwing with orangutans, swim with dolphins and tap along with woodpeckers as you explore animal habitats around the world. Get outside and explore today and everyday with fun from PBS KIDS!
