PBS KIDS Writer's Contest Deadline Extended!

Posted by Nicole Bailey on

The PBS KIDS Writer’s Contest is now open, and it’s the perfect time to engage your child’s imagination. Writing is a creative way to encourage kids to use their literacy and critical thinking skills.

The PBS KIDS Writer’s Contest is open to children ages K-6th grade. We’ve extended the local contest deadline to March 27th so your family still has time to join the fun. If you’re looking for ways to help your child start brainstorming try this beginning, middle and end activity or this drawing activity which helps kids develop illustration ideas for their story.

Every child receives a Certificate of Appreciation from PBS SoCaL just for participating and our local winners attend a very special event in our studio where they receive recognition prizes. You can find entry forms and guidelines here on the PBS SoCaL Writer’s Contest webpage. We can’t wait to read your story!
