PBS SoCaL Twitter Chat Party

In this digital age, people are using social media to stay informed, but most importantly to connect with others. PBS SoCaL connected with our followers on social media by cohosting our first ever Twitter chat to talk about early education. We were joined by early childhood educators and moms across the state and nationally.  We shared research around technology and interactive media for young children, information about or local Ready To Learn program, and techniques on how to utilize technology and media to support and enhance children’s school readiness.

Participants from all over the country joined us such as Deepa Fernandes of KPCC, Chip Donahue of the Fred Rogers Center, LA Parent Magazine, SoCal Savvy Mom, and Compton Unified School District.

Our guests also shared advice and resources about hot topics in education, how they are using PBS SoCaL Ready To Learn transmedia resources and how we can help them enhance learning at home with PBS KIDS on-air programming and hands-on activities. Check our Twitter chat Storify below:
