PBS SOCAL TO HOST HOLIDAY CELEBRATION

WITH DAVID FOSTER AND FRIENDS

December 10th,2014 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood

COSTA MESA, Calif. (November 18, 2014) – PBS SoCaL, PBS for Greater Los Angeles, will host “ONSTAGE/BACKSTAGE: A PBS SoCaL Holiday Celebration” on December 10th, 2014 in Hollywood at the Dolby Theatre and Ballroom. The inaugural event will support PBS SoCaL’s continued efforts to educate, inform, and inspire the 16 million viewers in Southern California.

The event will be hosted by composer, record producer and 16-time Grammy winner David Foster. Entertainment will also include performances by Tony and Emmy Award-winning Broadway sensation Kristin Chenoweth; singer-songwriter-producer and winner of 10 Grammy awards, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds; legendary singer-songwriter-producer Peter Asher of Peter & Gordon; friends from Sesame Street; world-famous violinist Maga Zoltan; and other surprise guests.

The evening’s festivities will include a one hour ONSTAGE concert in the Dolby Theatre followed by a BACKSTAGE VIP reception and dinner featuring “up-close” performances by the ONSTAGE cast, with cuisine by Wolfgang Puck. Guests will also enjoy a sneak preview of Downton Abbey Season 5 (premiering January 4th, 2015), as well as an early look at next year’s American Experience documentary (premiering in Fall of 2015) on the legendary, Walt Disney.

The event is co-chaired by Wallis Annenberg, Mary Bono, Roy Disney, Anne Gates, Don Hahn, Jenny Jones, Irena & Mike Medavoy, Harlyne J. Norris, Carolyn Powers, Gayle & Jeffrey Rosenthal, Jim Rosser, Corrine & Lenny Sands, and Eva & Marc Stern.
