What an incredible weekend in Anaheim for PBS SoCaL, Antiques Roadshow and our community! On Friday, June 21st PBS SoCaL was honored to host a VIP reception with Antiques Roadshow host Mark Walberg and producer Marsha Bemko along with the entire staff of appraisers. The VIP reception included an intimate dinner along with a question and answer session with both Mark and Marsha with the audience including around 120 community members.

In addition to the Friday evening VIP event, PBS SoCaL and Antiques Roadshow WGBH hosted about 6,000 attendees on June 22nd at the Anaheim Convention Center. People waited in line for hours to get their various items appraised.

A few of the top finds from the day include: Frederic Church oil painting on paperboard, appraised by Aaron Bastian—$100,000-150,000 at auction, Joseph Cornell shadow box, appraised by Leigh Keno—$100,000-$150,000 at auction if authenticated and Maurice Vitrillo painting, appraised by Peter Fairbanks--$80,000-120,000 at auction. A few fun finds from the day included, Signed Michael Jackson sketches, appraised by James Supp—$5,000-10,000 at auction, Groucho Marx duck prop, appraised by Grant Zahajko--$8,000-12,000 at auction and Buddy Ebsen shoes, appraised by Philip Weiss—$20,000 insurance value.
