Our salute to remarkable women continues with an encore of “Mia, a dancer’s journey”. Maverick ballerina Mia Slavenska broke audiences’ conventional thought about ballet, and chose to express dance as an art form. She was one of the first women to own her own dance troupe, and was the first to turn a popular play/movie into a successful ballet. This film takes a bow Thursday, March 26 at 7pm on PBS SoCaL.
