May we tempt you this month with our diverse line-up of locally originated and produced programs, presented by PBS SoCaL?

As part of our Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month efforts, PBS SoCaL is proud to be the national presenting station for the second season of China’s Challenges. The five, one-hour episodes explore with unique access and in cinematic detail how China is tackling critical issues, including disparities in wealth and education, social clashes, severe pollution, competing priorities, and tensions between China’s rich traditional culture and its rapidly modernizing society. Baseball season has started, so let’s round the bases with host Lisa Hart as she discovers what it takes to create a successful game day at Angel Stadium. Discover Orange County airs on PBS SoCaL plus May 2 at 6:30pm.

We finish up the month with an encore presentation of The Passions and Politics of Ed Edelman: An Untold Story of Leadership, a retrospective on the inspirational life and career of Ed Edelman, a political leader and visionary whose courageous political struggles changed the fabric of life in Southern California.
