When Antiques Roadshow comes to Palm Springs...
...We all have a lot of FUN! Or at least we certainly did early this month when the iconic PBS show filmed an episode for their new season in sunny Palm Springs! As the local station for the area, PBS SoCal was on the scene, giving away prizes, helping out and documenting the day. Here's a look back at how it all went down...
We kicked things off with a special reception for our volunteers, appraisers, and special guests.
Antiques Roadshow executive producer Marsha Bemko welcomed everyone to Palm Springs and gave us the inside scoop on how the show works.
A fantastic time was had by all!
The following morning, the day of filming kicked off with people arriving before 8 a.m. to have their prized possessions appraised!
There was quite the assortment of antiques coming through the convention center.
Appraisals in action!
Even the Mayor of Palm Springs, Robert Moon, stopped by for an appraisal!
Getting some fantastic segments for the new season of Antiques Roadshow in the can!
We met a few of SoCal's youngest antique collectors!
And we snapped some fabulous photos of attendees at our photo booth. Be sure to check out our Facebook Album to see them all!
All in all, it was quite a weekend! Thanks so much to everyone who joined us and to all our friends at WGBH and Antiques Roadshow for coming to sunny SoCal!
Be on the lookout for the new Palm Springs episodes of Antiques Roadshow airing in 2017!
