Calling all women and the wonderful people who support them:

We cordially invite you to join PBS SoCaL via your personal computer in a special online LIVE sneak peak of the upcoming PBS documentary “MAKERS: Women Who Make America” through our online social screening platform (OVEE), on Tuesday, February 5th at 5PM. OVEE is an online social screening platform for watching your favorite PBS and local public television programs together, from anywhere, while chatting with noteworthy people. Lise Luttgens, the CEO of Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles and one of our locally featured MAKERS, will join us in the online screening room, along with a local Girl Scout troop, connecting the stories of MAKERS with Girl Scout values of courage, confidence and character.

MAKERS: Women Who Make America is a multi-platform PBS project that tells the story of women's advancement in America over the past 50 years. This is the first major media project to reveal the dramatic story of how women transformed America, told from the perspectives of courageous ground breakers who continue to shape the world today. Dr. Susan Love, Judy Blume, Carol Burnett, Katie Couric, Ellen DeGeneres, Geraldine Ferraro, Billie Jean King, Maya Lin, Condoleezza Rice, Faith Ringgold, and Gloria Steinem are just a few of the extraordinary women who share their stories. The three hour documentary will air on PBS SoCaL on February 26 from 8-11PM, and on PBS OC on March 2 from 9PM to midnight.

Join us on February 5th at 5PM from your own personal computer to ask Lise Luttgens about her personal story of being a MAKER in her own community. Together, we will celebrate the contributions women have made in our local communities and our country at large, while reflecting on our experiences as women and supporters of women.

Please forward this information to your friends so we can fill our virtual theater and discussion room with people and start important conversations in our local communities!
