It’s no secret that mobile technologies are changing the way we live, work and learn. Here at PBS SoCaL Education we are joining in the mobile revolution!
As part of our Ready to Learn Initiative, PBS SoCaL has distributed 32 iPads to five community partners throughout Southern California.
Each partner received iPads with rechargeable portable cases to create their own Mobile Lab. The Mobile Lab will be an added support for these organizations in their efforts to facilitate early education and student mentoring through technology. PBS SoCaL Education continues to support these organizations with outreach activities such as trainings, technology literacy workshops, apps, resources and a Mobile Lab liaison to help them navigate virtual learning and assist them with any troubleshooting.
The PBS SoCaL Education Community Mobile Labs will be a tool for accessible and inclusive learning. This resource will provide an opportunity for these communities, children and parents to have access to technology and help the kids in the communities reach their educational goals. Learn more about the National Ready to Learn Initiative here.
The project is funded by a Ready to Learn grant (PR/AWARD No. U295A 100025, CFDA No. 84.295A) provided by the Department of Education to the Corporation of Public Broadcasting.
