Pacific Symphony: Notes from Europe

Traveling to the historic heart of the world's classical music scene, KOCE-TV goes behind-the-scenes as Orange County's Pacific Symphony embarks on its first milestone tour through Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Produced by KOCE-TV's Maria Hall-Brown, "Pacific Symphony: Notes from Europe" films Europe from the beautiful mountainous countryside of Lucerne to the city of Munich, following more than 150 musicians, chorus and staff members.

Performing in renowned concert halls, the orchestra has a chance to truly revel in venues with a wide range of acoustics. From Gershwin to Strauss, the varied musical program demonstrates that this young orchestra belongs on the international stage. The half-hour program closes with a rare display of appreciation, in which normally reserved audiences stand up and cheer, critics fawn and the Pacific Symphony blossoms in the spotlight.
