A Tribute to Paul Musco

Born to a family of Italian immigrants, Paul Musco later founded the Santa Ana-based company Gemini Industries, working his way into a prominent position in the precious metals industry. Gemini Industries has pioneered technology that helps recover platinum and palladium from spent catalysts.

Through the years, his remarkable generosity touched a vast array of organizations across the region.

PBS SoCal will be forever grateful to be amongst them.

He served as a Trustee for the station from 2009 to 2018, and as Vice-Chair from March 2012 to September 2013. His commitment and dedication helped ensure a strong and vibrant foundation for public television and its mission to serve the Southern California Community.

“I feel PBS SoCal is an important part of who we are as citizens and plays a critical part in the development of our future generations. I am pleased to serve as Vice-Chair of the PBS SoCal Board of Trustees. This is an organization whose mission I believe in and support.” Paul Musco, 2013

A literal example of his kindness shines as a beacon atop the Costa Mesa office.

When PBS SoCal required installing a sign atop the building at a time when money was tight, Paul said he’d pay for it.

His wife Marybelle was an essential part of his life. In conversation, even when she was not present, he referred to her constantly. PBS SoCal had the privilege of honoring the pair at the station’s 2014 Masterpiece Gala.
