Additional Resources
ACTIVITY: Measuring Weight with a Homemade Scale
Which is heavier, my marble or my teddy bear? The kids on Cyberchase used balance scales to solve a big problem in today's episode. Your child can create their own hommeade scale from household materials (find instructions here). Use it to measure different things around the house and explore measurable attributes of objects.

ACTIVITY: Make a Smoothie With Cookie Monster
After a virtual playdate with some of your child's favorite friends, help them make a healthy snack with Cookie Monster. Enlisting your child to help prepare snacks and meals not only builds self-esteem and self-confidence, but math skills, too. Learn more about how you can explore math concepts in the kitchen here.

ACTIVITY: Ways to Stay in Touch - Write a Letter to a Friend
Much the way Daniel learned about the joy of mailing letters to loved ones, there's no better time to show your child the excitement of receiving correspondence by mail. Writing a letter to a friend, whether on a blank sheet of paper or a collage postcard, is one way for our children to keep up long-distance friendships during school closures. Find more creative ways for kids to stay close, whether it's online as Elmo and friends, or via snail mail.
