PBS SoCal and Variety presents Variety Studio: Actors on Actors, a series of one-hour specials take you inside the biggest television shows of the past year through candid conversations with today's hottest actors. Hosted by Variety New York Bureau Chief Ramin Setoodeh, each episode brings together three pairs of actors engaging in intimate one-on-one discussions about their craft and work. Get an insider’s look into the creative process and what it takes to finely hone the craft of acting.

S10 E1: Julia Roberts and Amy Adams - premieres June 18 at 7 p.m.
This episode features Julia Roberts (Homecoming) in conversation with Patricia Arquette (Escape at Dannemora). Learn which movie both stellar actresses auditioned for and if either of them got the part. Meanwhile, Amy Adams (Sharp Objects) and Richard Madden (Bodyguard) discuss how they handle the anxiety of playing difficult characters. Finally, Taraji P. Henson (Empire) with Ellen Pompeo (Grey’s Anatomy) talk about how playing strong characters have changed their careers and even affected their paychecks.

S10 E2: Emilia Clarke and Michael Douglas - premieres June 18 at 7:30 p.m.
Watch veteran actors Michael Douglas (The Kominsky Method) and Benicio Del Toro (Escape at Dannemora) look back on their careers and choice of roles throughout the years; Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and Regina Hall (Black Monday) speak about their first major acting roles and how clothing can help build up a character’s backstory; and finally, Sam Rockwell (Fosse/Verdon) joins Renée Zellweger (What/If) to discuss how the quality of television programs now equal that of theatrical films.

S10 E3: Chris Pine and Michelle Williams - premieres June 20 at 7 p.m.
In this episode, Robin Wright (House of Cards) and Chris Pine (I Am the Night) talk about working with female director Patty Jenkins and how to navigate playing morally ambiguous characters. Meanwhile, former co-stars Michelle Williams (Fosse/Verdon) and Patricia Clarkson (Sharp Objects) discuss why they made the jump from the big screen to television. Finally, in this episode, Sacha Baron Cohen (Who is America?) talks about how he escapes recognition when playing a character. He and Don Cheadle (Black Monday) also discuss how costumes can make or break a role.

S10 E4: Sarah Paulson and Rachel Brosnahan - premieres June 20 at 7:30 p.m.
In this episode, Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) and Billy Porter (Pose) discuss how fashion can actually elicit social change; Tracee Ellis Ross (Black-ish) and Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story) speak about what it’s like to direct their own series and their feelings on aging in an image-conscious business. Finally, Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll) and Maya Rudolph (Forever) talk about why they both decided to produce projects that deal with death and mortality at this time in their lives.
