Boy Carries Untold Story of His Father’s Murder

On January 28, 1918, a young Juan Flores was pushed aside as he saw his father and 14 other men lined up and murdered in a massacre at Porvenir, Texas. Most survivors took their story, their trauma and their fear to their graves. Flores decided to tell his story in his mid-90s, just before his death. If it were not for him, the massacre would not have been acknowledged.
