Memories of the March

Miki Conn

Miki Conn’s family was the only African American family in her Upstate New York town. Miki’s parents insisted she attend Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she became an activist and friend of Stokely Carmichael. Her interests led her to become a volunteer for the March on Washington. The skills she learned at the March inform her present-day activism.
