We are still here thanks to your support!

A family watching television

You may have heard some confusing news — here’s what’s really happening.

Congress voted to eliminate federal funding for public media, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) has announced that it will shut down as a result. This news has understandably raised concerns about PBS stations across the country.

PBS SoCal is still here.

While the loss of federal funding is significant, PBS SoCal will not shut down and is continuing to serve Southern California. Thanks to the incredible support of viewers, members, donors, and community partners, we remain committed to bringing you trusted news, inspiring arts and culture, educational children’s programming and vital public safety information.

Public media has always been powered by the people it serves, and today that support matters more than ever.

We will continue serving our vital role in this community today, tomorrow, and in the years to come, as we build a new future for public media.
