Screening and Discussion Panel of 'Human Footprint'

On Thursday, August 21, 2025 PBS SoCal partnered with WETA and the Natural History Museum to host a special screening and panel event for the season two finale of "Human Footprint."

SoCal’s Senior Director of Programming & Scheduling Dwyane Bright welcomed over 200 guests introducing a clip from the latest season of PBS SoCal’s award-winning, locally-produced environmental series "Earth Focus" and "Human Footprint." A panel discussion, moderated by Dr. Cara Santa Maria (and "Earth Focus" narrator), featured series host Dr. Shane Campbell-Staton, Associate Curator and Excavation Site Director at the La Brea Tar Pits Dr. Emily Lindsey and series director Nathan Dappen.

The panel explored ways to further conversations of conservation and advocacy for preventing extinction.
