Drew Mackie, KCET's associate producer of new media, liked shows about old British people before it became fashionable to do so. Ahem. He's been writing about pop culture for various SoCal outlets for more than a decade. Once he saw Julia Child eating at a restaurant in Santa Barbara, and it was one of the happiest moments of his life.
