Nic Cha Kim
Nic Cha Kim is the Senior Producer of Arts & Culture at PBS SoCal and has been covering the Los Angeles arts and culture scene for over 20 years. A journalist committed to amplifying underrepresented voices, Nic explores the intersections of art and community, bridging public media with civic engagement and cultural resilience. A Los Angeles Emmy® award-winning arts and culture journalist, documentary filmmaker and curator, Nic was recognized as the 2024 “Broadcast Journalist of the Year” at the National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards. At PBS SoCal, Nic produced the acclaimed ARTBOUND documentary series, edits the PBS SoCal Arts Calendar, and leads locally produced arts and culture programs for broadcast and digital. Previously, Nic reported for SOCAL CONNECTED on KCET, Spectrum News 1 and co-founded Gallery Row in Downtown LA. Nic currently serves on the board at the Los Angeles Press Club and Armory Center for the Arts.
