Sonoko Sakai

Hello, I am Sonoko Sakai. I am a cooking teacher. I also worked in the movie world buying and producing films for many years, but I always had one foot  in the food world, until I decided to leave the film world ten years ago and devote full time to teach cooking and writing about food. My family is from Japan.  I was born in New York and grew up there, Tokyo, Kamakura, San Francisco, Mexico City and Los Angeles. I live in Los Angeles and Tehachapi with my husband, Katsuhisa Sakai, a dog and two cats.
