Carpentry Camp
An update now on the rebuilding of Detroit’s tuxedo neighborhood on the west side, where Stephen lived as a child. The Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights is building a training center there to prepare more Detroiters for careers in the skilled trades. This summer, the union started a boot camp for high school students to give them hands on training in carpentry.
