The Tulsa Race Massacre

This year, we are also marking the 100th anniversary of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. This painful chapter in black history is the subject of a PBS documentary titled, “Tulsa: the Fire and the Forgotten.” One of the film’s producers is Washington Post reporter and Oklahoma native, Deneen Brown, whose stories on Tulsa are the focus of the film.
