Mickela’s Eastern European roots take her to Bucharest, Romania, known as the Paris of the East. She dances in the small villages of Bucovina and heads to Transylvania to learn the traditional Calusarii dance. She meets with local artisans, both traditional and modern, and is then taken in as one of the family in the village of Clejani with Taraf de Caliu, world-renowned Tzigane-Gypsy band.
