Benepe – Statues and Monuments of Central Park
Central Park is one of The City’s crown jewels, and its 29 statues are some of the many gems contained within. Some, like Bethesda Fountain, are well-known, while others, like the statue of Fitz-Greene Halleck, live in obscurity. Nevertheless, history has littered the Park with the work of an impressive array of American sculptors, meet some of these monuments on a tour with Adrian Benepe.
