Wendy Davis is a former Democratic State Senator from Fort Worth, Texas. Davis stepped into the national spotlight during her 11-hour filibuster of a controversial abortion bill in the summer of 2013. In 2014, Davis ran unsuccessfully for the Governor of Texas. Today, she still fights for gender equality. Davis’ new non-profit organization, Deeds Not Words, was recently launched.
