Reason: Gov't Workers 'New Privileged Class'

Reason policy analyst Adam B. Summers wrote this week on the libertarian tank's site that there's a "silver lining" to the salary malfeasance in Bell.That good news -- according to Summers' "Lessons from the Bell, California Fiasco" -- is that the general public has now become aware of the pensions received by public servants.

The story carries the subhead, "High government salaries means soaring pension costs that taxpayers cannot afford." Summers writes within: "Government employees have become the new privileged class."
