Charlton Tooke, Jr., was the grandson of Manuel A. Gonzalez, Fort Myers’ first settler. His granddaughter, Tomi Sapp, and nephew, Joe Johnson, relate, through family pictures, his fierce drive and accomplishments as a rancher, citrus grower, homebuilder, and family man.
