Celebrating Native American Heritage

Native American and Alaska Native Heritage Month is celebrated every year in November by paying tribute to the rich culture and heritage of Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian.

California is home to more Native Americans than any other state in the United States. Souther California is home to three Native American Indian tribes that predate the establishment of California’s Missions: the Ventureño, Gabrieleño, and Fernandeño.
