Senator Carl Levin
Retired U.S. Senator Carl Levin holds the distinction of being Michigan’s longest serving senator. He spent 36 years on capitol hill and a total of 44 years in public office. The Detroit native has published his memoir titled, “Getting to the Heart of the Matter.” It chronicles Levin’s early days as a lawyer, his eight years on the Detroit city council, and his distinguished career in the senate.
