Advocates push approval of over-the-counter contraceptive

The House on Thursday passed a bill guaranteeing women the right to buy and use contraceptives without restrictions, though its path in the Senate is unclear. But many advocates say it’s time to codify such protections into federal law and give women access to an over-the-counter contraceptive without a prescription.
