U.S. allows in trickle of asylum seekers from caravan
Overnight, U.S. officials admitted eight Central American migrants to an immigration checkpoint to apply for asylum, spurring hopes for more than 100 others that they will be allowed to follow. The Justice Department also charged 11 people, believed to have been part of the group, with entering the country illegally. John Yang learns more from NPR's Carrie Kahn for more.
