Why North Carolina is investing in expanded Medicaid access
North Carolina became the latest in a growing number of states to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. Gov. Roy Cooper signed the bill into law marking a major victory for Democrats in their efforts to expand federally assisted healthcare coverage. North Carolina Secretary of Health and Human Services Kody Kinsley joined Geoff Bennett to discuss the investment in Medicaid access.
