This has been a long and brutal summer in Ukraine as Kyiv's counteroffensive continues to retake lands now occupied by Russia. A leading British military think tank reported that the Ukrainian operation is going more slowly than expected, and it blamed the slow provision of advanced weaponry by Western partners.
