The implications of Biden’s new oil and gas drilling leases
Facing rising prices, the Biden administration is forging ahead with a plan to sell new leases for oil and gas drilling on a small portion of federal land. Some climate activists say President Biden is breaking his campaign promise to end the nation’s dependence on fossil fuels, and that it might not do much to lower the cost of gas.
