Community Health In Los Angeles (Video)

Earlier this month, Spot.us, in conjunction with La Opinion, convened a roundtable discussion of journalists and various community and governmental leaders to talk about the state of L.A.'s disparate communities.

In the above video, Frank Kwan, the L.A. County Office of Education's director of communications; Aquil Basheer, who runs the gang intervention training academy Professional Community Intervention Training Institute; Captain Bill Murphy of LAPD's Northeast Division; and Paulina Gonzalez, executive director for the social justice nonprofit Strategic Actions for a Just Economy, share their thoughts on the state of our communities in Los Angeles and what it takes to improve community health.
