Latino Heritage Month: Programs, Stories & Documentaries

Latino Heritage Month celebrates the rich histories, cultures, identities and contributions of people whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. In Southern California, Latino history is deeply woven into the region’s story, dating back to 1781, when Spanish missionaries founded El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de Los Ángeles (“The Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels”).
