Coastal California highlights the work of artists along the California coast, sharing stories beyond the physical sites of their installations. This six-part video series focuses on communities historically excluded from narratives about California’s coast, showcasing the people, cultures, and histories that shape these public lands.

This collective effort was funded by the California State Coastal Conservancy via the Coastal Stories Grant Program, which ran from 2022 to 2024. In addition to the six-part video series, the map below showcases the locations of 14 Coastal Stories projects.
