A new study finds that Black Americans represent 13.4% of the American population and counties with higher black populations account for more than half of all COVID-19 cases and almost 60% of deaths. For local journalists, creating content amid traumatic events means exposure to much more low level trauma can build and over time lead to occupational PTSD.
