Trends in Election Results, Voter Turnout
On the Nov. 4 edition of the Reporter Roundup, KPCC reporters discuss post-election updates, including local vs. statewide returns, pressing issues for Black women voters and the levels of voter turnout.
Local Results
Statewide proposition results indicate the California electorate is not quite ready to be as progressive as Los Angeles voters, according to Libby Denkmann. She shares the trends she is seeing in local election results.
Agenda for Black Women
There was a high turnout of Black women and women of color in this election, as they seek an end to the pandemic and to regain control over work-life-family balance, reports Farai Chideya.
Voter Turnout
As of this afternoon, 3.2 million votes have been counted in Los Angeles County but millions are yet to come. Aaron Mendelson warns we may not know the outcome on some of our tight local races for weeks.
