Val Google Goggles The Getty
The J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles earlier this week unveiled a new toy sure to delight classical art connoisseurs and go-go-gadget lovers alike.
In collaboration with Google, the museum now offers an augmented reality experience using the Google Goggles mobile app. Visitors just snap a quick pic of any painting using their smart phone and up pops a veritable encyclopedia of information, including the artist, when the piece was painted, who's in it, and a lot more detailed information that would never fit on that little plaque on the wall.
Our own Val Zavala took a stroll over to the museum to see for herself and filed this video. Enjoy!
