Our Favorite Bike Rides
Arroyo Seco Creek Bike Path
The joys of this serene, shaded four-mile jaunt more than offset its patchwork quality. The route traverses a wonderful city parkway with intimate neighborhoods as it heads out to Pasadena in one direction, then--sort of--joins the LA River in the other direction.
Glendale Narrows / Elysian Valley Bike Path
This 10-mile path is notable for its centralized location, intimate views of the natural river, easy connections to other great rides, and the urban diversity along the route.
Sepulveda Basin Bike Loop
This 10-mile loop takes you in and around the San Fernando Valley, through L.A.'s equivalent of Central Park. Smooth paths, clean, green and pulsating with life.
LaRio / Rio Hondo Bike Trails
At 23-plus miles, this is the longest bikeway in the LA River watershed. Known for its variety of terrain, the ride reaches from the river's mouth in Long Beach, to the more lush foothills of the Angeles National Forest.
Long Beach Shoreline Bikeways
This vibrant urban estuary scene features four interlinked paths that cover nearly eight miles. You'll get picturesque views of the RMS Queen Mary, and pass through a smorgasbord of amenities.
