Join us on Saturday, March 1st, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM to celebrate Women's History Month.Hosted in collaboration with the Civil Rights Institute of Inland Southern California, this event will explore themes of unity and resilience while empowering the next generation of changemakers.

The evening will feature:

Film Screening of LUCHA: A Wrestling Tale: A powerful documentary highlighting the stories of young women overcoming adversity through the sport of wrestling.

Panel Discussion & Q&A Session - Panel of Speakers to include:

Robert Carrillo: President of Lucha Vida IE and Coach and Executive Producer of Lucha: A Wrestling Tale

Shakye Ford: “Shak”, as she is known, wrestled four years at Taft and became its first city champion while earning Most Outstanding Wrestler.

Elaine Brown: Civil rights activist, affordable housing developer, and the first Black chairwoman of the Black Panther Party.

As a special highlight, guests will enjoy a private viewing of the Civil Rights Institute Museum, including the Homegrown Heroes exhibition. This inspiring collection showcases the stories of Inland Southern California’s civil rights leaders and their enduring impact on our region.
